Welcome to Barebottom Farmstm. We appreciate you stopping by. Sit down, take your shoes off and visit a while.

Back in 1995 when they started this crazy venture, Pat, the mother of the farm, had some ag-school knowledge and a love and understanding of animals. Dennis was just starting to understand there is more to animals and birds than meets the eye. I’ll tell you more about the occupants of the farm as you click through the pages. Enjoy your visit. Dennis updates often. So come back to see what’s new. Here at Barebottom Farms you’ll find chickens, peafowl, ducks, a collection of exclusive recipes, and gifts related to life on the farm. I’m sorry to say BBF no longer breeds rabbits. Pity, that. I take rather a fancy to the critters. Quiet and unassuming, rather like I wanted everyone to think I was. But, I do encourage you to take a look at our line of clothing gifts. They’re not terribly expensive, and professionally designed. And believe me, those gifts are unique, made with the same care that Pat gives to us animals, and those pesky birds. Your narrator on this tour will be me, the kid in the picture, Mr. Wiggles. Handsome little devil, ain’t I? I used to live on the farm till I got too smart for Pat and Dennis. Now I’m a stud for a bunch of does. Not a baaaad gig.

Important note for all our customers: We mostly sell eggs through auction sites. When you see an auction running, please have the good graces not to ask us to violate our agreement(s) with the auction operators by selling those same eggs off-auction. At this time we sell our eggs through the following sites:

We may add and subtract auction sites as sales dictate. But I think Ovabid and OLA are here to stay. And while we are experimenting with eBid at the present, if all goes well you will see a lot of our auctions there, too.

If you buy eggs directly from Barebottom Farms, or from any of our auction sites, we feel it prudent to state our policy regarding shipped eggs. While we can clearly and unequivocally state that the fertile eggs we sell are indeed fertile, that does not guarantee that they will hatch for you. We have no control over the post office or their employees. We do everything in our power to circumvent rough handling, and try to avoid our eggs being xrayed, but we obviously cannot guarantee the actions of the post office. We sincerely want our customers to acheive as good a hatch as possible. But please do not make wild accusations of us sending infertile eggs, as the males at Barebottom Farms do everything they can to make the eggs fertile.

Most of our eggs are shipped via priority mail, which is typically 2 to 3 day. But again, since the post office does not guarantee a time-frame, neither can we.

Thank you for your understanding. We have built a great reputation of developing happy customers because we provide excellent customer service, and we want all of our customers to be happy. But this does not mean we will fawn all over you if you are unreasonable. So . . .be reasonable and we will do our utmost to work with you
