While we no longer have the farm, and except for Charlie, Selma and Butternut, the animals pictured here are no longer a part of our lives, the are still enjoying their lives with a friend who agreed to take them on. Yes, we miss Barebottom Farms and the critters that became a part of it. But we don’t miss the weather in Dallas.

All animals are special. Of this I think many of us agree. However some have so completely filled a special spot in our hearts that when they leave this earth they leave behind a hole, empty and deep. But therein is a tiny place filled with memories. Eventually the hole disappears, and you will occasionally feel the guilt of forgetting them. But pay attention to that hole. Because it soon will be overflowing with the happiness of good memories. It is then that you will realize the poignancy of Walt Disney’s wisdom “Don’t cry because it’s over, but smile because it happened.”

It is with that thought that I bring you memorial pictures of those that have left smiles, and the hope that someday we will all meet again in that great barnyard called eternity.
